N2 - In the paper results of the investigation of the thermal decomposition process of double complex salt [Pt(NH3)4][OsCl6] by x-ray absorption (XAFS) and photoelectron (XPS) spectroscopies have been presented. The data obtained allows a mechanism of the thermal decomposition to be refined. An influence of size effect and nanoalloy formation on chemical shift of Pt and Os is discussed.
