Organisational unit: Research Laboratory
The main objective of the laboratory is the effective functioning of the complex of informative chemical and physico-chemical analysis methods for the high-purity compounds and functional materials, including hybrid materials. To solve this task, new research methods are constantly being developed to study the crystal structure, composition, structure, morphology and other physico-chemical characteristics of materials (including in the ultra dispersed state) and to establish their relationship with the target properties. Analytical support of technological work was organized for NSU and NIIC SB RAS, including diagnostics of various stages of the purification of precursor substances and technologies for the production of functional materials (from single crystals to nanostructures), taking into account factors such as resource and energy conservation. An important objective of the laboratory is to attract young people to the solving of fundamental scientific and important analytical problems, to introduce information on modern research methods into the educational process and to set up new teaching methods for students. The main research methods that are used in (RMCSFM) are: x-ray diffraction of mono-, poly – and nanocrystalline samples; electron microscopy and x-ray microanalysis; mass spectrometry; atomic emission and atomic absorption spectrometry; a complex of electrochemical methods, CHN and thermal analysis
