Possible research topics
Research order
Place of work: main building of NSU, Faculty of Physics, ATRC department, Shared research facilities "VTAN". Remote work is not expected. We have experimental activities that require tools at NSU.
The graduate student will need to master the array of literature on the topic of AlN hexagonal films, thin film growth methods, including thermal and magnetron, study the literature on mayenite and electride, study the developments and publications of the Laboratory on these topics.
List of current and planned R&D projects
Additional Information
The PhD student is expected to be accepted into the Laboratory to complete the tasks of the project. Employment is expected for the position of "junior researcher" / "researcher" depending on experience and background achievements. Candidate might feel flexible to choose a research topic related to either experimental physics or computer modeling of materials, either growth technologies or devices, and diagnostic tools. To carry out postgraduate research, the instruments of the Shared research facilities "VTAN" at NSU are available.
Scientific adviser in "Devices and methods of experimental physics" section in the Open Doors International Olympiad conducted by the "Global Universities" Association, portfolio online.
Motivation for graduate student (on the style of interaction with a supervisor):
Weekly meetings at the scientific seminar of the laboratory and discussion of progress in the work are expected. The initiative and self-driven work of the graduate student are absolute requirements.
