N2 - This paper presents technology of producing hydrogen and methane-hydrogen compositions by catalytic decomposition of light hydrocarbons. Set of nickel-containing catalysts were prepared according to two different methods. There are method of fused metal salts and method of deposition of active component on porous support. All samples investigated by several physical and chemical ways. Also activity of catalyst was studied in process of decomposition of methane. Established that the most perspective method of synthesis catalysts was fusion of metal salts.
