The latter coordination polymer is built up by unique Zn 4 (OCH 3 ) 4 cuboidal units. The complexes are characterized by single-crystal X-ray diffraction, FT-IR, elemental analysis, and TGA. Investigation of the CO 2 adsorption at 195 K on [Zn 2 (CH 3 CN) 2 (oFBPDC) 2 ] and [Zn 2 (H 2 O) 2 (oFBPDC) 2 ] of the layered polymeric structure revealed that they have BET surface areas of 334.8 and 150.6 m 2 g −1 , respectively.
