abstract = "The study focused on the cytokine profile and the lipid peroxidation affecting the embryo quality and the outcome of assisted reproductive technologies. The study involved 32 females diagnosed with infertility who underwent in vitro fertilization treatment (IVF). In order to assess the impact of embryo quality on the outcome, the patients were divided into two groups based on the number of high-quality embryos: Group 1 - less than 3 good and excellent embryos; Group 2 - more than 3 good and excellent embryos. In women with a negative IVF outcome, an increased level of pro-inflammatory cytokines contained in the follicular fluid leads to an increase in the number of good-quality embryos. The accumulation of malondialdehyde in the blood serum women after the involvement of assisted reproductive technologies points at a favorable IVF outcome, this confirming the positive role that oxidative processes have in the embryo development.",
