N2 - The reaction of Ta(NMe2)5 with CS2 resulted in the isolation of azametallacyclopropane complex [Ta(MeDtc)3(η2-CH2NMe)] (I, MeDtc = dimethyldithiocarbamate), which was characterized by X-ray diffraction in the solvent-free form and as a toluene solvate (CCDC nos. 2005837 (I), 2049693 (I∙0.5C7H8)) and by NMR spectroscopy and DFT calculations.
