N2 - A novel heterogeneous catalytic system based on the TEMPO nitroxyl radical encapsulated into the cavities of copper-doped ZIF-8 metal-organic framework was synthesized and characterized using ESR spectroscopy and powder X-ray diffraction. This system provided a highly selective (>99%) oxidation of benzyl alcohol to benzaldehyde.
