N2 - Magnetic measurements using a stretched wire with a constant current are widely used in manufacturing insertion devices for generating synchrotron radiation. They allow the first and second magnetic field integrals to be measured and minimized along the trajectory of the beam inside the accelerator. The problem of wire sag is also considered.
