N2 - A method for quantitative tellurium measurement in tellurium-containing organic compounds (TOC) by a microwave plasma–atomic emission spectrometer Agilent 4100 has been suggested. One of ways to decompose the sample — the oxygen flask combustion or the acid decomposition in a heating block, can be applied. It has been demonstrated with telluradiazole derivatives and some other TOC with 20 to 58% tellurium content that the method proposed is suitable for precise and easy determination of tellurium. Elements such as nitrogen, sulfur, potassium, selenium present in the TOC do not interfere in the procedure. The relative error of the analysis is 1—5%.
