N2 - The paper proposes a method for testing of numerical schemes used to solve the Vlasov equation, a collisionless kinetic equation. The method is based on comparing numerical data with exact analytical solutions and control of the behavior of the second-order moments of the distribution function. An efficient software implementation on Tensor Processor Units (TPUs) for calculating the moments is described. The results of test computations of the dynamics of a rotating and pulsating infinitely thin disk in an external field are presented; the computations have been performed using a multidimensional semi-Lagrangian method with both the conservative WENO and linear upwind schemes of the 5th order.
