N2 - Eleven new bromotellurate complexes cation2[TeBr6]·XH2O (cation = R-PyH+, R = 2-Me (1), 3-Me (2), 2-I (3), 3-Cl (4), 3-Br (5), 2,6-Me (6), 2,4,6-Me (7); cation = R-Py+, R = 1-Et (8) 1,3-Me (9), 1,4-Me (10) and 1-Me-3,5-Br-4-(NMe2) (11)) were prepared and characterized by X-ray diffractometry. Thermal stability of abovementioned complexes, as well as previously reported (4-MePyH)2[TeBr6] (12) and (2-BrPyH)2[TeBr6] (13), was studied by thermogravimetric analysis (TGA).
