N2 - This work presents new experimental data on the evolution of two-dimensional (2D) ordered arrays of microdroplets levitating over a heated liquid surface. It was found that the average distance between the centers of the droplets in the array increases with the droplet diameter, being practically independent of the number of droplets in the array and substrate temperature. Dimensionless correlation ratios for the distance between the droplets were obtained, which can be used to verify the theoretical models under development.
