N2 - We present experimental results on direct femtosecond pulse inscription of different-type random reflectors in single-mode optical fibers. In particular, we compare the backscattering efficiency of randomly chirped fiber Bragg gratings, multipoint Fresnel reflectors, and continuous Rayleigh/Mie reflectors.
