N2 - The effect of particle condensation of cold gas flow on the formation of a secondary jet ("wake") behind supersonic nozzles is revealed in the studied range of the outflow initial parameters. The technique of gas jets photometry, which makes it possible to carry out linear measurements of the generated flows, is presented. An anomaly of the "wake"luminescence was discovered when the argon flow was excited by an electron beam. The wavelengths and the corresponding transitions Ar-I and Ar-II inherent in the "wake"glow were determined. The development of diagnostic methods for studying cluster jets is discussed.
