N2 - Abstract: Microwave plasma atomic emission spectrometry was used to determine 36 impurity elements in the zinc metal by a calibration method without adding the matrix element. The values of the nebulizer gas flow pressure are selected that ensure the maximum analytical signals of impurity elements. The limits of detection for most elements are 10–5–10–4 wt %; the error of the results of analysis is 10%. The accuracy is confirmed by the standard addition method and the analysis of standard reference samples.
