N2 - Informatics and electronics are vital applied disciplines, which are utilized on a linguistic level. Since twenty years ago a conference has attached great importance to the collaboration of informatics and linguistics. In the history of interaction between informatics/electronics and linguistics, more and more fields, including medical science, benefit from it in the aspects of identifying and extracting information, building assessment systems and management systems, detecting information and so on. It is possible for this combination to deal with interdisciplinary terms, which can be called consubstantial terms as well. These terms are substantially synonyms, homonyms or polysemants, causing difficulty not only in understanding but also in the processes of thematic classification, automatic abstracting and information retrieval when processing scientific publications. At present, 861 linguistic consubstantial terms have been collected, 150 of which have been analyzed semantically. Therefore, it is strongly advised to build a corpus of interdisciplinary term phrases to identify and analyze them. Based on the corpus an electronic processing system for academic publications should be developed.
