N2 - Organic azides are traditionally used in organic synthesis to obtain a wide variety of chemical compounds. This prompted us to report the synthesis of a new polyfluorinated aryl azide, 2,2,3,3-tetrafluoropropyl 4-azido-2,3,5,6-tetrafluorobenzoate, which was obtained in two stages starting from pentafluorobenzoic acid.
