N2 - We consider the multichannel analysis of surface wave (MASW) method and propose to use a new automated surface wave dispersion curves picking method. The idea is to amplify the surface waves packets, using S-transform based time-frequency representation of seismic data, and then estimate wavenumber by robust spatial spectral analysis. The proposed method showed good results when processing field data.
