N2 - Well logs and core analyses of Berriasian-Aptian petroliferous sediments from the western Gydan Peninsula are used to model their biofacies and lithofacies and to reconstruct the respective sequence stratigraphy. The sedimentological and palynological data, along with logging results, provide constraints on the history of transgressive and regressive events and make a basis for paleogeographic reconstructions for the Lower Cretaceous deposition of reservoir sand beds.
