N2 - The new heterometallic complex [HgI2(SbAr3)], Ar = 2,6-(MeО)2C6H3 has been obtained by the interaction of tris(2,6-dimethoxyphenyl)antimony with mercury(II) iodide. SbAr3 and [HgI2(SbAr3)] have been characterized using single crystal X-ray diffraction. Structures of them are compared. Elemental analysis, IR and NMR spectroscopies have also been used for characterization.
