N2 - A flat strong discontinuity in a polymer fluid is investigated in the rheological Vinogradov−Pokrovsky model. Relationships for a strong discontinuity are given. The existence of discontinuous stationary solutions of the problem without rotation of the velocity vector at the discontinuity and with rotation (rotational discontinuity) is substantiated. Examples of numerical stationary solutions are given.
