N2 - The paper presents the results of a statistical investigation of the influence exerted by risk factors on the level of morbidity in the adult and infant populations of Russia. The insufficient representation of indicators of total population morbidity and expediency for the use of indicators of infant morbidity for the purpose of analyzing public health are substantiated. The performed analysis has enabled the revelation of the regions that are the most liable to influence different factor groups, which can be applied to determine the specific fields in perfecting the regional health-protection policy.
