N2 - The paper is devoted to numerical simulation of the regimes of pulse outflow of various gases (air and argon) into a vertical pipe, filled with a liquid of different density (water and Rose alloy), implemented in the OpenFoam package. This problem has a wide range of technical applications, ranging from the simulation of emergency modes of liquid-metal nuclear reactor operation to the depressurization of underwater gas pipelines, the operation of ship equipment systems, etc. The satisfactory agreement of the results of numerical simulation with experimental data has been obtained.
