N2 - A reaction of the cluster (Et4N)2[Mo3S7Br6] with potassium 3,6-di-tert-butyl-o-benzosemiquinolate (KSQ36) afforded the mononuclear complexes (Et4N)[Mo(Cat36)3] (I) and (Et4N)[MoO(Cat36)2(HCat36)] (II) with prismatic and octahedral environments of their central metal atoms, respectively. Complex I was also obtained by a reaction between MoCl5, sodium 3,6-di-tert-butylcatecholate (Na2Cat36), and Et4NBr. Complexes I and II were characterized by X-ray diffraction and EPR spectroscopy. The structures have been deposited with the Cambridge Structural Database (nos. 1009139 (I), 1009140 (I · 1.5THF), and 1009141 (II · Et2O)).
