N2 - A fiber laser was realized based on self-amplitude modulation of the effect of nonlinear polarization evolution and highly chirped Bragg grating. Generation of narrowband ultrashort pulses were investigated numerically and experimentally. As a result, a spectral width of about 0.1 nm was obtained.
