N2 - Exact analytic expressions are derived for the spectrum and wavefunctions of electrons in a monolayer of transition metal dichalcogenides in crossed electric and magnetic fields. The electric field dependence of interband transition intensity is calculated. The valley selectivity of interband absorption considerably depends on the electric field and can reverse its sign multiply upon an increase in this field.
