N2 - The aim of this work is to investigate the differences between the collision operators in various kinetic equations. The deterministic approach is employed to solve the Boltzmann equation and model kinetic equaitions: the BGK equation, the ellipsoidal model, and the Shakhov model. Numerical simulations of the internal structure of shock waves with two different Mach numbers, M = 1.5 and 8 are performed. The solutions are compared between themselves and with the numerical solution of the continuum Navier-Stokes equations.
