N2 - Using ionic liquids [PriNH3]NO3 and [BuNH3]NO3 as an example, we demonstrate for the first time the ability of protic ionic liquids to form a heterogeneous nanometer scale structure. The discovered phenomenon is of great fundamental importance and expands the range of objects prone to these anomalies.
