N2 - The aim of this research is to increase the reliability of formation evaluation in complex environments of vertical and horizontal oil and gas boreholes. We have elaborated original techniques for interpreting highfrequency electromagnetic and electric logging data, based on the developed algorithms and software for 2D and 3D numerical simulation and inversion. It allows creating realistic geoelectric models of hydrocarbon reservoirs, using electromagnetic and electric logs both jointly and separately. By utilizing these techniques we have successfully interpreted electro-logging data from dozens of wells with different dip angles. They have proven to be effective when studying complex Western Siberia reservoirs.
