N2 - The current structure of the production and consumption of methanol is reviewed. The main processes of methanol processing and catalysts for their implementation are highlighted: the production of formaldehyde, hydrocarbons (MTH), olefins (MTO), and the production of hydrogen from methanol by means of steam reforming, partial oxidation, autothermal reforming, and decomposition.
