N2 - The reaction of solutions of Sb2O3 and 4,4'-dimethyl-1,1'-butanediylbis(pyridinium) dibromide ((4-MePyC4)Br2) in concentrated HBr affords polymorphs: binuclear (4-MePyC2)[Sb2Br8] (I) or tetranuclear (4-MePyC4)2[Sb4Br16] (II) complexes, depending on the reaction conditions. The structures of the complexes are studied by X-ray structure analysis (CIF files CCDC nos. 2061368 (I) and 2061369 (II)).
