Profile Information

The laboratory was created to study the fundamental nonlinear effects of light propagation in multicore and multimode waveguides.  The laboratory assumes obtaining fundamental knowledge about the nature of nonlinear dynamics of light in multicore and multimode fibers and application of the results obtained in fiber lasers and fiber optic communication lines. The purpose of the unit is also to study the generation and distribution of discrete solitons, optical discrete vortices and optical space-temporal solitons in fibers.  Another area of activity is to analyze the possibility of increasing the capacity of communication lines through simultaneous data transmission over different modes of multimode fiber, as well as through new methods of processing the received optical signals on the basis of machine learning methods
