Organisational unit: Research Laboratory
The main interests of the laboratory lay in the synthesis of new or modified systems with complex composition, including metals, oxides and nanostructured carbon materials; as well as study of their catalytic and physicochemical properties. During 2019 our research activity was focused on studying platinum-cerium-tin-oxide and palladium-cerium-oxide composites. New types of clusters and nanoparticles were established during the thermal activation of the Pd-CeO2 composite. It is shown that the modification of metal-cerium-oxide systems by tin significantly increases their thermal and catalytic properties. With respect to metal-carbon composites, the effect of the modification of the surface centers of carbon nanotubes with nitrogen and its influence on the electronic and catalytic properties of palladium was established
