Organisational unit: Research Laboratory
The main area of scientific activity of the Laboratory is the development of the fundamental chemistry of coordination, cluster and supramolecular compounds of a new type. The directed methods for the synthesis of microporous and mesoporous metal-organic coordination polymers are studied. On porous framework structures, the processes of selective separation of various gas mixtures, as well as industrially important organic substrates, are studied. The inclusion of guest molecules in porous metal-organic framework materials is being studied in order to develop highly selective and sensitive sensors. New types of cluster compounds of the early transition metals are synthesized, their reactivity in oxidation-reduction and substitution reactions is studied. Unique supramolecular systems are synthesized based on cavitands of various types with clusters, as well as with polyoxometallates. The properties of metal polyoxometallates of groups 4, 5 and 6 are studied. Their synthesis methods are being developed, including directed synthesis of giant polyoxometallates containing more than one hundred metal atoms
